Asteroid 10265 Gunnarsson


Asteroid 10265 Gunnarsson orbits the Sun at a mean distance of 3.23 AU, in an orbit inclined 9.45 degrees to the ecliptic plane, and with an eccentricity of 0.076. It was discovered in 1978 by Claes-Ingvar Lagerkvist, and kindly named after me as a gift on the day of my PhD dissertation.

Asteroid 10265 Gunnarsson was observed on 2002-12-11 using the 1m Schmidt telescope at Kvistaberg, Sweden. Thanks to the UDAS team for help with this observation.
